What you need for multi-gigabit speed
Hyperfibre needs compatible fibre equipment at your address. To see more than 1 Gbps on a single device, you will also need a router and computer with 2.5, 5 or 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports.
Wi-Fi speed varies by router, device, distance and interference. A wired connection is the best way to test the full service speed.

What is Hyperfibre?
Hyperfibre is multi-gigabit fibre broadband delivered over compatible fibre infrastructure. Faro offers plan speeds of 2, 4 and 8 Gbps.
Is Hyperfibre available everywhere in New Zealand?
No. Availability depends on the local fibre company and equipment serving your address. Check your address first and we will confirm the available options before connection.
Are the speeds symmetrical?
The Hyperfibre plans shown here provide the same headline download and upload speed. Actual throughput depends on your equipment, network conditions and the remote service you are using.
Do I need a special router?
Yes. To use more than 1 Gbps, the router and connected device need multi-gigabit Ethernet ports. For 8 Gbps, 10 Gigabit Ethernet equipment is strongly recommended.
Can I keep my existing Wi-Fi system?
You may be able to use it behind a compatible Hyperfibre router, but older Wi-Fi equipment will not deliver multi-gigabit speeds to individual devices.
