Whats the best sequence if you are switching to Faro from another ISP?
When changing broadband providers, always place your order with the new ISP before cancelling your current connection.
This is important because Chorus may block a new connection, transfer, or upgrade order if there is already a disconnection order in progress on the same line. If the current service is cancelled first, the new ISP may have to wait until the disconnection is fully completed before they can place the new order. This can delay installation and may create unnecessary downtime.
The best approach is simple: do not cancel your existing broadband service yourself. Instead, contact the new ISP and place your new connection order with them. They will initiate the new connection process and arrange the cancellation or transfer of the existing service as part of that order.
This allows Chorus to process the change in the correct sequence and avoids one order blocking the other. It also gives you the best chance of a smoother transition with minimal disruption to your broadband service.
